👶 Beta · early days, building with moms

It’s 7 PM.
What does the baby eat?

Snap your fridge. Add your child’s age. FridgeBee suggests kid-safe meals built only from what you actually have — no “go buy 7 more things.”

Add your child’s age in the app and recipes auto-filter for choking-hazard and salt-limit rules per stage. The deeper per-stage filters (separate weaning purees vs. finger foods) are next on our roadmap.

The 7 PM problem.

Every parent has stared into a fridge at 7 PM and asked: now what do I feed her? That’s the only problem FridgeBee solves right now.

“What do I feed her tonight? I’m too tired to think.”
Tap one photo of your fridge. Pick your child’s age in the app. FridgeBee suggests real recipes you can cook in under 20 minutes from what you actually have — not a list of 7 things to buy.
“Don’t give me ‘Pinterest-perfect baby food.’ I want khichdi, dal, sabzi, paneer — real Indian food my family eats.”
FridgeBee is India-first. Punjabi, South Indian, Bengali, Gujarati, plus Western and East Asian — every cuisine treated as a first-class citizen.
“I keep forgetting what’s about to expire and end up wasting it.”
FridgeBee sets per-item expiry dates the moment you scan a receipt. Daily push when something is one day away from spoiling — paired with a recipe that uses it.

What works today

FridgeBee is in beta — we’re building this with moms. Here’s the honest line between what’s live now and what’s next.

✓ Live now
📷

Snap the fridge once

One photo of your fridge or grocery receipt. AI extracts every item with per-item expiry dates in seconds. No typing 12 things while holding a toddler.

🎤

Voice add (Hindi + English)

“Bhindi, paneer, doodh, atta” — speak it. Works in Hinglish. Works with flour-covered hands.

👶

Kid-safe filtering by age

Add your child’s age (and any allergies / dislikes) to the household. Recipes flagged as not kid-safe — too spicy, choking-hazard ingredients — get auto-filtered for them.

🛒

“What am I missing?”

Every recipe shows exactly which ingredients are already in your fridge (green) vs. which you’d need to buy (amber). No surprise mid-cooking.

🔖

Save for tonight

Find a recipe you’re not ready to cook yet? Save it. It lives in the Saved tab so you can come back to it at dinnertime.

🔔

Expiry push notifications

Daily push: “Methi expires tomorrow — try Methi Thepla tonight.” Paired with a recipe that uses the expiring item. Less wasted food.

🚧 On the roadmap
📊

Weekly nutrition tracker

Coming next. A weekly summary of iron / calcium / protein gaps based on what you cooked, with a recipe to close each gap. Not yet live — we’re scoping it with a small group of moms.

WhatsApp bot

Scaffolded — not yet live. Send a fridge photo to a WhatsApp number, get a recipe back. Join the waitlist below; we’ll notify you when it goes live.

🚫

Per-ingredient picky-eater memory

FridgeBee currently lets you hide recipes you don’t want suggested again. Ingredient-level memory (“swap broccoli, she refused it”) is on the list, not yet built.

In development: WhatsApp bot

Don’t want another app to open? We’re building a WhatsApp version of FridgeBee — send a fridge photo to a number, get a recipe back. The backend is scaffolded; we’re still working through the WhatsApp Business setup. The chat below is a preview of what it’ll look like.

Want to know when this goes live?

Email the founder (hello@fridgebee.app) — we’ll reply when the WhatsApp bot is ready to test. No automated waitlist yet; we’re doing this by hand because we’re three weeks old.

Or just use the web app for now — link at the top.

Be one of the first moms to try this

FridgeBee is a few weeks old. There are no testimonials here because there are no testimonials yet — we’re still in the “build with the first 50 users” phase. If you try it and have feedback (the good, the bad, the “this is broken”), we’d love to hear from you.

Email the founder →

hello@fridgebee.app — replies usually within 24 hours.

Try it tonight.

Snap your fridge once. See a kid-safe recipe from what you actually have. Tell us what worked and what didn’t.
